Game 64,65,66, 67: Miami Heat recovers after a straight 5 losses.

If "vulnerability" is a virtue and a hallmark of being down to earth", the Miami Heat is the NBA favorite team to watch! and may be the biggest NBA's U.S. national TV drawer. Not necessarily because you are a fan, but the Miami Heat may be a microcosm of the lives of couch potatoes who happen to love watching and following basketball.

After losing to the Portland Trailblazers, the Miami Heat is starting to win games over legitimate western playoff team rivals, winning three in a row. We know the Heat can overcome adversity, the problem is consistency. They have already clinch a playoff position and we hope that their playing will improve further to capture the Eastern Conference in just the first year the Big Three of Wade,LeBron and Bosh, joined forces to get a championship (a second) for Miami Heat.

The Heat never fails to give us an enjoyable TV show. Here is the latest games with links to recaps and boxscores (src: http://sports.yahoo.com/ba)

Game 63: Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls: Four losses in a row!!!

Miami Heat Team cannot hold on to its early lead and has blown its chances four straight times already with the latest 86-87 to the chicago bulls.

Is there something in having the Miami Heat as opponent which brings out the best in other teams? Yes, the early hype build-up since the big 3 coalesce in Miami to form a "super" team, and the focus of the TV cameras, the Miami Heat is fun to watch! They exemplify human nature. This only makes the Spurs, who play scientifically, a boring "alien" perfect NBA team.

We will still root for the Miami Heat, even with bruised egos and hurts. It is an emotionally charged situation whenever our "whipping boy" team, the Miami Heat plays. But we hope they will still be in the playoffs, then the pressure to be selflesss, to be at their best will somehow rub off on the Heat, and we dont have to wait for many years for the Heat to repeat its 2006 glory year.

Games 61, 62. Miami Heat, Three straight losses?!

We are sure that the current Miami Heat is a playoff team by the end of April. However the string of three straight embarrassing losses to the Bulls, Magic and Spurs makes one feel that 2011 will NOT be the year the Miami Heat will end the Eastern Conference champion, but we still wish they can!

The opposing teams are simply too good and are more cohesive.
We need Bosh to work harder in the low post. If he can regain his normal shooting percentage when he was still a Raptor, the Heat would be a much better team.

Game 62 Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs.

A loss (95 to 125) by 30 points is not a reason to panic, though such loss means a loss of compusure. We want Riley to give more motivational speeches to the bench!

Game 60 Miami Heat vs New York Knicks, a loss again?!

I was able to watch the third and fourth quarters of the Heat vs Knicks game, and I think the intensity displayed by the Knicks will restore the almost war-like atmosphere rivalry of the past between these two teams.

Game 57 : Miami Heat vs Sacramento Kings. Now at 42-15!

The Miami Heat first game after the All Star break starts with a bright note with an overwhelming win over the Sacramento Kings on a lopsided score of 97-117.

We hope our favorite NBA team, which we honor with following their games, will end up in the top of the Eastern Conference.

Hopefully this streak of 3 wins will continue till the end of March!

Game 54: Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics. Heat just not good enough yet?

Basketball is also a game of mental toughness and we hate to admit it, also of luck. The Miami Heat just lost to the Boston Celtics, 82-85. After leading at the end of the first two quarters, the Heat were stunned by the sudden change in the energy level of the Celtics, outpointing them by more than 17 points. After trying to whittle down the gap, the Heat were dealt with unlucky chances. Lebron missed crucial free throws and Mike Miller missed a game tying three point shoot.

Game 53: Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons, finally the Heat is on top of the Eastern Conference!

The Miami Heat is displaying a more balanced distributed shooting in beating the Detroit Pistons by the score of 102-92 improving its win-loss record to 39-14. The win placed the Heat to first place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game ahead of the Boston Celtics.

The big three have performances (points, rebounds, assists) of (24-8-7),(16-8-10) and (17-10-1) for Wade, James and Bosh respectively.

Other Heat players who contributed ten or more pints were Miller(16), Chalmers(10) and Ilgauskas(10).
Sharpshooters Eddie House and James Jones gave 8 and 4 points.
Arroyo and Dampier were not able to play.

The game was marred by a verbal argument between James and a heckling fan but the game was graced by the presence of Aretha Franklin! For a recap, click on NBA Miami Heat-Detroit Pistons recap

Game 51:Miami Heat vs Los Angeles Clippers, a win 97-79!

We have the not so bold prediction, that as long as the big 3 remain healthy, that the Miami Heat will be in the NBA East Conference Finals. The Heat has now won their last 6 games and is just 1+ game behind the leading Boston Celtics.

We hope the Heat coaching staff will give time to all their bench players including the former starter Arroyo. A player should not be judged by the average points per game, but by the number of games won he is in. The bench should be prepared for the semifinals NOW! Only about 30 games are left!

The Heat built up points advantage for the three quarters. It was enough to offset an 18-27 fourth quarter rally performance from the Clippers. The stars are humble enough to trust other teammates and share the ball. Wade James and Bosh have 28-8-8, 12-6-6, 16-3-7 points-assists-rebounds respectively. It is good that Mike Miller, E. House and James Jones are viable contributors with their sharpshooting.

We hope that Haslem and Magloire can return soon. They would make the Heat more potent, and more dangerous.

Game 50: Miami Heat vs Charlotte Bobcats. Heat now has a win-loss record 36-14

The Miami Heat now has a five game winning streak making a respectable 36-14 record and is comfortably secure to be in the playoffs at the moment. But a lot can change. There is a total of 30+games left and their second place in the eastern conference is being challenged by the Chicago Bulls.

The win is balanced in the sense that the scoring load is distributed, with starters Wade, Chalmers, Bosh, and James contributing 22, 7, 13, 14, 19 points respectively. The bench players E. House and M. Miller also got 16 and 13 respectively. But the Heat should prepare all player by giving them all playing time.

Game 49: Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic score: 104-100

The Miami Heat now has a total 35-14 win-loss record after defeating the Orlando Magic by 4 points. What is dangerous for the Miami Heat is that the Orlando Magic made a furious rally during the 4th quarter, whittling down even 20+ point advantage to just 4 in the final period. Imagine if the game playing time was extended, but a win is still a win!

Lebron James had a stellar performance with 51 points, 8 assists and 11 rebounds. In contrast, Wade only had 15 points and Bosh 13 points.

Game 43: Miami Heat vs Atlanta Hawks. Four losses in a row??!!

Its a quagmire for the Miami Heat! With four losses in a row, the Heat must adjust to make their bench much more a credible threat and not depend so much on only two stars Wade and L. James.

The return of James did not stop a streak of losses for the Heat. With Bosh out due to injury, the Heat suffered an embarassment of four straight losses to the Atlanta Hawks.

Game 41: Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets: two losses in a row!

After losing to the Los Angeles Clippers, you would think the Heat would be fired up to do better in their next game. Alas, it was not meant to be. Without Lebron James out due to sprained ankle injury, the Heats loss is the Denver Nuggets gain, and might force a rethink of C.Anthony desire to be traded. Rumors persist that a trade will be done in a week or two. Back to our reporting:

Game 40: Miami Heat vs Los Angeles Clippers

The prospects of meeting the Miami Heat did not faze the Los Angeles Clippers, instead inspiring them to do their best to hand the Heat a rare loss, jumping on them on the very first period, earning 44 points with a comfortable cushion 18 points at the end of the period. The Heat tried to trim down the deficit but were unable to eke out a win over the Clips.

The loss was a setback to the Heat attempt to lengthen the 13 road wins.

Though the San Antonio Spurs may have the best record in the NBA, we enjoy tracking the games of the Heat. The team boasts of a proven star in Wade who is now joined by James and Bosh. The Heatś game is exciting and they look VULNERABLE. The win should energize the Clippers who currently stands at position 13, third from the bottom rankings in the Western Conference.

This loss should not disappoint Heat fans, once a while a rare loss should make the team conscious always of performing at its best and should humble the Heat into NOT taking any team lightly.
