Here is more amplification to the lie of Villar that he was a Tondo poor boy. It is a letter to the editor of the Inquirer, issue March 15. I want the reader to pass it on to their voting relatives and friends.

THE MARCH 7 ARTICLE ON Manny Villar’s house along Moriones Street in Tondo confirmed the belief that he was never poor, never spent his Christmas on the street and never swam in a pool of garbage. In the early 1960s, if you had a three-story house in a 60-square-meter lot in the business district of Tondo, you were considered an aristocrat.
Not too far from that Moriones house were shanties leading to the pier where children went to the nearby public schools for education. Such was not the case of Villar: he went to Holy Child Catholic School for his elementary education and to Mapua for high school. Coming from Moriones going to Mapua, Villar had to pass by three outstanding public high schools: Jose Abad Santos High School, Arellano High School and Teodora Agoncillo High School, and public schools in the latter part of the 1950s and 1960s were at their best.
But not for the Villar children. Because their father was a white-collar employee and they had a businesswoman for a mother, Manny and his siblings were able to study in the best private schools nearby. They had corned beef for breakfast (as told in Villar’s ad with Boy Abunda) and I am pretty sure suahe and other seafoods for lunch or dinner.
During the times that Villar claimed he was poor, his family actually belonged to the AB and upper C economic strata or the top 10 percent of the population. As in the C-5 controversy, in the conversion of agricultural land in Iloilo, in the landgrabbing of the Dumagats’ land in Norzagaray and his questionable use of socialized housing funds among many others, Villar shows a penchant for covering the truth.
I hope television’s investigative journalists can dig deeper into this so the poor people who are being used will find out the truth.

I just noticed that Mathalino is gone for this week! Did it stop being listed in Topblogs?
There are some sites one may not agree with that they are educational sites with original contents. But this is an imperfect world. We do complain and were quite vocal with a Romanian site before, Haret Grile Universtati, but Topblogs do listen and removed it after more than a month when it started to be ranked so high. There is nothing I find wrong in Mathalino. It is a good reference site for engineering review materials. And I got some blog indexing sites from it before. I see that it stopped being listed on March 8, 2010.
Maybe it is just under redesign? Or it is just doing fine going alone without being listed in topblogs?
Coolbuster and NurseReview are still being listed though and still rank high. I hope that they give more competition to the current #1 site Thinking Made Easy. A lot of students are looking for term, research papers and theses and Thinking Made Easy provides convenient links to them.
The site looks like it is maintained in Hongkong.

For the start of this week, Critical Thinker went up to rank #3, pushing PRC Board Exam Results to #6.
Why is there a wide gap between this paragraph and the next table ? Wordpress is much lax than Blogger. I discovered that the rows of the table were ended by tr but without the forward slash in front! And newlines are not ignored but converted to br by Blogger.

For the start of this week, Critical Thinker went up to rank #3, pushing PRC Board Exam Results to #6.
Why is there a wide gap between this paragraph and the next table ? Wordpress is much lax than Blogger. I discovered that the rows of the table were ended by tr but without the forward slash in front! And newlines are not ignored but converted to br by Blogger.

A perfect phising example: Getting your Yahoo email private information
Here is a perfect example why you should not automatically believe everything you see in the Internet. I received this mail in my Yahoo Inbox and the To field (to undisclosed recepients) is a giveaway! Moreso, it is asking for private details and Yahoo already told us IT will NEVER ask for our password in the emails.

Why Villar rebuttal is so unconvincing
What a man or unman. Villar, the businessman who uses political position to further his business interests, of course safely rebuts in public or in interviews the accusations of graft and corruption and unethical business practices. He prefers to lamely talk his piece and walk away from being interpellated by his peers in the Senate on the last days of the Senate sessions! Here is a self-serving rebuttal found in Villar rebuts Mondos in Juan Country blog. Please do read it and also read Jamby Madrigal's speech.
As much as he wants to spend on getting the C5 controversy out of the way, he will never reach the level of our older generation of Filipino leaders when it comes to integrity, ethics and avoidance of conflict of self or business interest. He has still, we believe, not broken the ties to his corporations. He will be a president not for the people but for the benefit of his businesses.
Nothing succeeds like marrying politics with business!
